Arab Emirates is completely dominated by Muslim religion. Being the main
emirate of UAE, Dubai is also filled with Muslims. The Jumeirah Mosque is a
very famous mosque in the world. Government’s aim is to bring the experience of
living in Dubai really fascinating and to make the city as the main location
for the tourists in UAE.
People
are really friendly, well educated, and most of them are experienced in
English. They used to have tourists living with them and are pretty flexible to
the way of western cultures. Still, there are certain things that are not allowed
such as kissing in public, making obscene hand gestures or talking negatively regarding
Islam.
Language
Arabic
is the Mother tongue in Dubai. Most of the people of Dubai are well experienced
in English. Thus Arabic and English are the common languages in Dubai.

in Dubai is low-priced. There are many varieties of foods available in Dubai.
Arabic food is the main type of foods in Dubai. Since a lot of people outside
Dubai are residing here with jobs, different types of hotels are there in Dubai
to serve different types of foods in the world.Some
of the special Arabic foods are: Shawarma, Kebab, Falafel (Arabic French Fry), Arabic
bread or Roti, Dubai Special fruit juices.

Festival (DSF)
Dubai Shopping
Festival (DSF) takes place each winter with its massive range of discounts,
competitions, prizes, fireworks and entertainment. DSF offers amazing discount
on shopping and attracts the tourists from all over the world dedicated on
grabbing a good deal.
DSF started in 1996
by Dubai Government in order to encourage trade. It becomes bigger and improved
every year. It is a family festival with a large focus on mall and early
evening shows.
DSF is a festival long
for a month traditionally from mid of January to end of February. The opening
night will be fully filled with fireworks and light shows. Many other events take
place during this time which includes Mall Fashion Shows, Musical nights,
Street Performers, Jugglers, and other entertainers.
Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS)
DSS is also another
shopping event comprises during summer. It started in 1998. Since then it
became one of the main festivals in Dubai. This summer 2012, DSS celebrated 15
years of success. The celebration lasts a month from June 15 to July 15.
Modesh – A particular world of fun and laughter
Modesh World is a
summer club owned by Dubai government. Here, Kids can seek new horizons with
the attractive character, Modesh, by the means of a new edutainment programme prepared
by Dubai Events and promotions Establishments. It is situated in the Dubai
World Trade Centre exhibition halls. Modesh World host live acrobatic shows,
and several events to reproduce the joyful spirit of Eid. The well-known smiling
cartoon character, Modhesh himself welcomes the guests and kids to his world of
fun. Even taking snaps with him also allowed.
Ramadan in Dubai
Ramadan is the sacred
month in which Muslims remember the exposure of Holy Qur’an. The timing of this
month is not predetermined by Gregorian calendar, however advances 11 days
every year. Muslims honour this month with fasting by giving up eating,
drinking, and smoking from sunrise to sunset. Visitors also need to give up
from using these items in public in daytime as an indication of respect.
Eid – Al – Fithr
It is a festival
marking the closing of Ramadan and is celebrated over three days. Celebrations set
off following prayers in the morning, and offerings are exchanged.
Eid – Al – Adha
It is a feast of
sacrifice and marks the conclusion of Hajj, the pilgrimage that all Muslims must
make to Makkah at least once in their lives. It lasts for four days.
